Adopting a critical approach, our journal continues to offer valuable insights while gathering the authors and the readers\u00a0 within specified themes.<\/p>\n

Katk\u0131 aims at offering with interdisciplinary works a holistic perspective to the contemporary social sciences in which social reality is disintegrating into sub-categories with sharp boundaries.\u00a0 For this purpose, the articles proposed in this journal are integrated works treating social reality in all its aspects, i.e. historical, economic, political, as well as cultural including ecology and gender equality. We also try to makespace for and give priority to the research works conducted by graduate students.<\/p>\n

The scope of Katk\u0131, as is evident from its aims, is so comprehensive that it extends to historical, social, economic and cultural facts, hence the interdisciplinary works are privileged. The articles fulfilling scientific criteria are taken under review according to the theme specified (though there may be off-topic articles). The articles submitted for publication are screened for plagiarism, peer-reviewed by more than one referee and subject to editorial board approval in order to be published. The online journal Katk\u0131 is an open access, peer-reviewed journal and issued twice a year (April and October), except the special issues.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1581864942770{padding-top: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”OPEN ACCESS AND PUBLICATION ETHICS” title_align=”separator_align_left” align=”align_left” color=”custom” css_animation=”fadeInRight” accent_color=”#ed1c24″][vc_column_text]Katk\u0131 is an open access journal. Departing from the idea that knowledge is a collective asset of humanity, all content is made directly accessible.\u00a0 The journal adopts the declaration of the Budapest Open Access Initiative<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Katk\u0131<\/em> applies Double Blind Peer-Reviewing. It is important to comply with the standards based on ethical principles in order to ensure the scientific nature of the research results. All parties (author, editor, referee, publisher) involved in the publication process are expected to comply with ethical standards defined by Committee on Publication Ethics<\/a> (COPE).<\/p>\n

All the submitted articles are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin<\/strong> software in accordance with the publication ethics. In case of detecting plagiarism, the corresponding article is rejected and the future articles coming from the corresponding author will never be accepted<\/p>\n
